I ran across Microsoft’s instructions on how to open a Vista box online, the worst part is, its absolutely necessary, I spent over 5 minutes trying to figure it out about a month ago, and I HAD TOOLS. You can always count on Redmond for innumerable opportunties to scream “what are they thinking!”

Kindle is pretty neat. However, I’m not sure the consumer experience for books needs a problem solved quite like the iPod solved a problem for the music consumer.

On the other hand, It sure would be easier to move 400 books to a new house if they were all in one device, but wheres the fun in that?

Many congratulations to Brent (my brother) & Belinda on their wedding. A beautiful ceremony & a great time. It was good to have both them both in Memphis for a few days! An Irish blessing for you both:

Selling and Buying a home has been a surprising, yet effective reminder of the Already/Not Yet eschatological construct.

A solid contract, a price paid in earnest, looking forward to living in a place that will be yours, yet sleeping somewhere else. Of course its not a perfect analogy but enough to make you smile a few times a day during this process.

If all goes well, the house swap should be completed by December 5th. Should be an interesting Christmas.
